About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and insightful Remote Lean Manufacturing Specialist to join their team. This is a fully remote position, offering the ideal candidate the flexibility to work from any approved location. You will be responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of lean principles across the organization's operational frameworks. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying waste, optimizing workflows, and fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement through remote guidance and support. This role is perfect for a self-motivated professional with a deep understanding of lean methodologies and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives and Kaizen events remotely.
- Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize best practices.
- Train and coach employees at various levels on lean principles and tools via virtual platforms.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lean initiatives and report on progress.
- Support the development of visual management systems and performance tracking tools accessible remotely.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in implementing lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Proven track record of successful waste reduction and process improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of tools such as 5S, VSM, Kanban, and Poka-Yoke.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, adapted for remote environments.
- Proficiency in relevant software for project management and data analysis.
