About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Remote Legal Consultant with expertise in Property Law to join their distributed legal team. This role involves providing comprehensive legal advice and services related to various property transactions, conveyancing, and real estate matters for clients across South Africa, all managed from a remote working setup. You will be responsible for guiding clients through property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks. Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on all aspects of commercial and residential property law, including acquisitions, disposals, and leasing.
• Manage and oversee conveyancing processes, ensuring smooth and legally compliant property transfers.
• Review and draft property-related agreements, such as sale of property agreements, lease agreements, and sectional title schemes rules.
• Conduct due diligence on property titles and related documentation.
• Provide legal counsel on property development projects and zoning regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in property law and related legislation in South Africa.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in property law and conveyancing.
• Proven expertise in handling a variety of property transactions, including commercial and residential.
• Strong understanding of the Deeds Registries Act and related property legislation.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client advisory skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and work independently in a fully remote capacity.
• Proficiency with digital legal tools and remote collaboration platforms.
