About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Legal Counsel with a specialization in Compliance to join their fully remote legal department. This role is perfect for a legal professional who excels in a virtual setting and possesses a deep understanding of regulatory landscapes. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs, ensuring the company operates ethically and adheres to all relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive compliance programs across the organization.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance.
• Investigate compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
• Advise on legal risks and opportunities associated with business activities, focusing on regulatory adherence.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney or Advocate with at least 7 years of experience, with a significant focus on regulatory compliance.
• Proven expertise in areas such as data privacy, anti-money laundering, and corporate governance.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage complex compliance projects remotely.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with compliance management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Experience in developing and delivering compliance training is highly desirable.
