Remote Legal Counsel - Contracts

About the Role

Our client is searching for a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Legal Counsel specializing in contracts to join their fully remote legal team. This position is crucial for supporting business operations by managing and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts. Working entirely from home, you will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure favorable terms and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract law and exceptional drafting skills, contributing directly to the company's commercial success and risk mitigation strategies, operating within a flexible, remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
• Advise business stakeholders on contractual risks, obligations, and legal implications.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies and relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, including renewal and termination processes.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline contract processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of experience focused on commercial contract law.
• Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts.
• Solid understanding of contract lifecycle management and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at remote collaboration.
• Ability to manage a high workload independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
