About the Role

Our client, a progressive technology-driven legal services firm, is establishing a fully remote legal operations team and is seeking a skilled Remote Legal Operations Specialist. This role is foundational to optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's legal services delivery, supporting professionals working across various time zones, including those serving clients in and around Soweto, Gauteng. You will be responsible for implementing and managing legal tech solutions, streamlining workflows, and ensuring seamless operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of legal service delivery in a remote-first environment, leveraging technology to enhance client outcomes and internal processes. Key Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and optimize legal technology platforms (e.g., case management systems, e-discovery tools, document automation).
• Develop and refine legal workflows to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Manage vendor relationships for legal software and services.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Support the onboarding and training of legal professionals on new systems and processes.
• Ensure data integrity and security across all operational platforms.
• Coordinate with legal teams to understand their operational needs and provide solutions.
• Assist in the development of budgets and resource allocation for legal operations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Legal qualification is a plus but not essential.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal operations, law firm administration, or a similar role.
• Proven experience with legal technology tools and platforms.
• Strong understanding of legal workflows and processes.
