About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Livestock Management Specialist to provide remote expertise and guidance on animal husbandry practices. This hybrid role requires remote consultation combined with occasional on-site visits for assessment and implementation. You will advise on optimizing herd health, nutrition, breeding programs, and overall farm efficiency. This position is ideal for an experienced professional in animal agriculture who can leverage technology for remote support and contribute valuable insights to improve livestock operations. You will work with various clients to enhance their animal welfare and productivity through best practices and data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend optimal nutrition plans for different livestock species based on their needs.
• Advise on best practices for animal health, disease prevention, and biosecurity measures.
• Consult on efficient breeding programs to improve herd genetics and reproductive performance.
• Analyze livestock production data to identify areas for operational improvement and cost reduction.
• Provide guidance on sustainable and ethical livestock farming practices.
• Offer remote technical support and troubleshooting for livestock management challenges.

Requirements

• Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, Agriculture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in livestock management, preferably in a consultancy or advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, breeding, and health management.
• Experience with livestock management software and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote client interaction.
• Willingness to travel for occasional on-site consultations and farm assessments.
