About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Planner to join their expanding team, with the role operating entirely from a remote location. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing transportation and delivery schedules for goods across various regions, without the need to operate a vehicle yourself. This role is critical in ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness within the supply chain. Working remotely, you will collaborate with a distributed team, utilizing advanced logistics software and communication tools to achieve strategic objectives for operations impacting areas like Soweto and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient transportation and delivery plans for diverse cargo.
• Utilize logistics software to track shipments, manage routes, and optimize delivery times.
• Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and clients to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
• Monitor shipment progress, identify potential disruptions, and implement proactive solutions.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on logistics performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning , supply chain management, or transportation coordination.
• Proficiency in using logistics planning software and transportation management systems (TMS) .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
