About the Role

Our client, a leading management consultancy , is seeking an experienced Remote Management Consultant focused on Sustainable Business Strategy . This role is critical for assisting organizations in integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into their core business strategies. You will guide clients in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives that not only meet regulatory requirements but also create long-term value and enhance brand reputation. As a fully remote position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients and colleagues across South Africa , driving impactful sustainability practices from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies aligned with clients' business objectives and ESG goals.

• Conduct ESG assessments, materiality analyses, and sustainability performance reporting.

• Advise clients on areas such as carbon footprint reduction, circular economy principles, supply chain sustainability, and social impact programs.

• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions on sustainability topics.

• Stay current with evolving sustainability regulations, reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB), and best practices.

• Develop business cases for sustainability initiatives, demonstrating their financial and strategic benefits.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG strategy, or corporate social responsibility.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing corporate sustainability strategies and programs.

• Strong understanding of ESG principles, climate change, circular economy, and sustainable supply chains.

• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex sustainability concepts into actionable business insights.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and manage client relationships virtually.
