About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and self-motivated Remote Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join their distributed team. This position is pivotal in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on manufacturing performance across various sites, enabling data-driven decision-making to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will work independently, leveraging advanced data analysis tools and collaborating virtually with site managers and operations leaders. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote setting, possesses exceptional analytical acumen, and has a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and key performance indicators. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to influence strategic operational improvements without geographical constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data from various sources to identify trends, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, yield, cycle time, and cost metrics.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to operations leadership for enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and controlling costs.
- Support the implementation of operational improvements and initiatives by providing analytical support and tracking progress.
- Collaborate virtually with site operations teams to understand local challenges and data nuances.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in manufacturing analytics and continuous improvement methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing analysis, operations research, or a similar analytical role, preferably with remote experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python/R, and advanced Excel.
- Experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and statistical analysis.
