Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and model mechanical parts and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for production.
• Conduct feasibility studies and preliminary design analyses to evaluate potential solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with remote cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and manufacturing engineers.
• Perform stress analysis and tolerance stack-up calculations to ensure design integrity.
• Troubleshoot design issues and implement necessary modifications based on testing feedback or manufacturing constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining).
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
