Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical assemblies and components from concept to production.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis, including FEA, CFD, and thermal simulations, to optimize designs.
• Create detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional remote teams, including software, hardware, and manufacturing engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues encountered during prototyping, testing, and production.
• Champion best practices in mechanical design, documentation, and verification.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering roles.
• Expert proficiency in advanced CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex design projects and mentor junior engineers remotely.
• Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and reliability engineering.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
