About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative Remote Mechanical Engineer to join their Research & Development team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping novel mechanical systems and components, pushing the boundaries of technology. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and design of new mechanical systems and products for research and development purposes.
• Utilize advanced CAD software for detailed 3D modeling and 2D drafting of components and assemblies.
• Perform rigorous engineering analyses, including FEA and CFD simulations, to predict and optimize performance.
• Develop and oversee the fabrication of prototypes, conduct rigorous testing, and analyze results to iterate on designs.
• Collaborate effectively with remote colleagues across various engineering disciplines (electrical, software) using digital collaboration platforms.
• Document research findings, design decisions, and test results in comprehensive reports.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and R&D, with a strong portfolio of innovative projects.
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage R&D projects in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, particularly in a virtual environment.
