Our client is seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join their fully remote technical services team. This role is focused on optimizing mineral processing plants, enhancing recovery rates, and ensuring the quality of processed minerals. You will analyze process data, conduct laboratory and pilot-scale testing, and provide expert technical guidance to operations teams worldwide. Working remotely, you will leverage your expertise in metallurgy and mineral processing to drive efficiency and innovation across various mining projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute significantly without the need for on-site presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze metallurgical data to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased recovery.
- Design and oversee laboratory and pilot plant test programs for mineral processing circuits.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for operating plants, including flotation, leaching, and refining.
- Develop process models and simulations to optimize plant performance and predict outcomes.
- Write detailed technical reports, process manuals, and recommendations for operational changes.
- Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and operations personnel in a remote setting to achieve project goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral processing and metallurgy.
- Proficiency in metallurgical accounting, process simulation, and data analysis.
- Experience with various mineral processing techniques and equipment.
- Strong understanding of chemical principles and reactions relevant to mineral processing.
- Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to work remotely.
