About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Metallurgical Process Engineer to support their mineral processing operations. This role is vital for optimizing plant performance, ensuring efficient recovery of valuable minerals, and troubleshooting complex processing challenges. Working remotely, you will analyze operational data, design test work, and provide expert recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs across various mining sites. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze metallurgical plant performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Design and oversee laboratory and pilot-scale test work programs.
• Develop and implement process modifications to enhance recovery rates and product quality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to site operations teams.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and project proposals.
• Stay current with advancements in metallurgical technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with operations, engineering, and research teams.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in metallurgical process development and optimization, preferably in base metals or PGMs .
• Strong understanding of mineral processing circuits (e.g., comminution, flotation, leaching, smelting).
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., METSIM, HSC Chemistry) is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a remote work environment .
