Remote Metallurgist - Beneficiation

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Remote Metallurgist specializing in beneficiation processes to join their innovative team. This fully remote position allows you to contribute critical expertise from anywhere, focusing on optimizing the concentration and recovery of valuable minerals from mined ores. You will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and economic viability of our client's processing operations by developing and implementing advanced metallurgical techniques. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced metallurgist to leverage their knowledge in a flexible, remote work environment, impacting significant projects without the need for relocation to Durban .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot mineral processing and beneficiation circuits .
• Conduct laboratory and pilot plant test work to evaluate new process technologies and improve existing ones.
• Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in yield, recovery, and reagent consumption.
• Provide technical support and guidance to plant operations teams remotely.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in metallurgical science and processing technologies.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations on process performance and recommendations.

Requirements

• Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing, with a specialization in ore beneficiation .
• Strong understanding of flotation, gravity separation, magnetic separation, and hydrometallurgical processes.
• Proficiency in metallurgical modeling software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with troubleshooting complex metallurgical challenges in a production environment.
