Remote Mine Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical Remote Mine Geologist to support their extensive mining operations. In this fully remote role, you will play a key part in resource estimation, geological modeling, and quality control, collaborating closely with on-site teams and the broader geological department. Your expertise in interpreting geological data and applying advanced modeling techniques will be instrumental in guiding exploration efforts and ensuring efficient resource extraction. This position provides a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated geologist to contribute to significant projects from a flexible, home-based environment, influencing geological strategy and development across multiple mining assets. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine 3D geological models based on drilling data, geological mapping, and geophysical information.

• Perform resource and reserve estimations using industry-standard software and methodologies.

• Conduct geological data validation and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.

• Collaborate with mine planning and engineering teams to provide geological input for mine design and scheduling.

• Assist in the planning and supervision of exploration drilling programs.

• Prepare geological reports, presentations, and summaries for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mine geology, exploration, or resource estimation.

• Proficiency with geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Micromine).

• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and geological interpretation.

• Experience with database management and geological data QA/QC.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
