About the Role

You will be responsible for designing and optimizing mine plans to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective resource extraction. This role involves utilizing advanced modeling software and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop short-term and long-term mine production schedules. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mine plans and production schedules using specialized mine planning software.
• Conduct geological modeling and resource estimation to inform mine design.
• Perform economic evaluations of different mining scenarios and layouts.
• Ensure that mine plans comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, geology, and survey teams to integrate plans and address site-specific challenges.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and visualizations of mine plans for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mine planning and design, preferably in open-pit or underground operations.
• Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, or similar.
• Strong understanding of mining methods, equipment capabilities, and production constraints.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, especially in a remote setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple planning projects concurrently.
