About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Mining Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions for their global operations. This fully remote position allows you to contribute to critical projects from anywhere, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, data management, and exploration tools.

Key Responsibilities • Design, code, test, and deploy software applications for various mining functions (e.g., data visualization, operational planning, geological modeling). • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with other mining software systems. • Optimize software performance, scalability, and reliability. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards and best practices. • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on applications for the mining or natural resources sector . • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or C++. • Experience with database development (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
