Remote Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the Role

Our client, a vital charity organization dedicated to community upliftment, is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Monitoring and Evaluation Officer . This role is critical for assessing the effectiveness and impact of our diverse programs across South Africa . Working entirely remotely, you will design and implement M&E frameworks, collect and analyze data, and produce reports that inform program improvement and strategic decision-making. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring accountability, demonstrating impact to stakeholders, and optimizing our efforts to serve communities effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and tools for various projects.
• Design data collection methodologies and instruments, ensuring data quality and reliability.
• Collect, clean, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from project activities.
• Prepare comprehensive M&E reports, highlighting key findings, successes, and areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations to program teams based on M&E findings to enhance program effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Statistics, Development Studies, Public Policy, or Social Sciences.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the non-profit or humanitarian sector.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and M&E methodologies.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage M&E activities in a remote setting.
• Experience with logical frameworks, impact assessments, and performance monitoring is essential.
