Remote Network Security Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network activity for security breaches and suspicious behavior using SIEM and other security tools.
• Investigate security alerts, analyze potential threats, and develop response strategies.
• Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate network weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance network defense capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network security analysis or a similar role.
• Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, cybersecurity principles, and threat vectors.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and penetration testing methodologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, suitable for a remote work setup.
