Remote Network Support Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Network Support Specialist to join their distributed IT team. Based from the comfort of your home, you will provide essential technical support for network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for users across various locations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network issues, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. You will be instrumental in maintaining the reliability and security of our client's network environment, contributing directly to business operations and user productivity through expert remote assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support for network hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance speed and reliability.
• Respond to user-reported network problems, troubleshooting issues ranging from basic connectivity to complex routing problems.
• Install, configure , and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues on network upgrades, security enhancements, and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Support Specialist or similar IT support role, with a focus on network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and various routing protocols .
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting common network hardware and operating systems.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus.
