Remote Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Remote Operations Engineer to contribute to their ongoing initiatives supporting their industrial operations, with a primary focus on areas near Randburg . This fully remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in process optimization, efficiency, and systems analysis without geographical constraints. You will be responsible for analyzing complex operational data, designing innovative workflow solutions, and implementing improvements that drive productivity and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote analysis of production and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Design, develop, and document optimized workflows, process maps, and standard operating procedures.
• Utilize simulation and modeling software to test and validate proposed process changes.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and track progress.
• Collaborate effectively with virtual cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and IT personnel.
• Provide remote technical expertise and support for ongoing operational improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations engineering, process improvement, or industrial engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process re-engineering.
• Expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python for data analysis) and simulation software.
• Excellent remote communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
