This critical role will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, driving cost reductions, and improving the quality of services and products across the organization, with a strategic focus on operations supporting the Sandton business hub.

You will leverage advanced analytical techniques, simulation tools, and lean methodologies to identify and implement best practices. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive engineer to significantly influence operational strategy and execution from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of complex process improvement initiatives, applying lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies. • Develop sophisticated analytical models and simulations to assess operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and forecast the impact of proposed changes. • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across the organization. • Collaborate virtually with stakeholders across various departments, including operations, IT, finance, and customer service, to drive alignment and implementation of improvements. • Conduct in-depth root cause analyses for operational failures and develop sustainable, data-driven solutions. • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by developing training materials and facilitating virtual workshops on best practices and new methodologies.

Requirements • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related quantitative field. • Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations engineering or process improvement, with a strong track record of leading successful initiatives. • Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management. • Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R), statistical software, and simulation platforms. • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills tailored for a remote environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
