Our client is actively seeking a talented Remote Operations Process Engineer to join their virtual team, focusing on optimizing industrial processes for their operations impacting the Mossel Bay region. In this fully remote role, you will utilize your analytical skills and engineering expertise to design, implement, and refine operational workflows, driving efficiency and cost savings from anywhere. You will collaborate with diverse, geographically dispersed teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in production processes.
  • Design and document optimized workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for implementation across distributed teams.
  • Develop and utilize simulation models to test and validate proposed process changes before deployment.
  • Collaborate with remote manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to efficiency, cost, and quality, providing regular analytical reports.
  • Research and recommend advanced technologies and methodologies to enhance overall operational performance in a remote context.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering or operations analysis, with a strong emphasis on efficiency improvements.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fully remote work environment, demonstrating self-discipline and effective virtual collaboration.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and statistical software (e.g., R, Python libraries).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adapted for remote interaction.
