Key Responsibilities • Design and plan optical network layouts, including DWDM, OTN, and fiber distribution frames. • Configure and manage optical transmission equipment from various vendors. • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot optical link issues, and perform root cause analysis. • Develop and implement strategies for network capacity planning and scalability. • Collaborate with field operations teams on installation, testing, and commissioning of optical equipment. • Contribute to the development of best practices and documentation for optical network operations.

About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Remote Optical Network Engineer to contribute to the advancement of their nationwide fiber optic network infrastructure. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of optical transport networks, ensuring high-capacity, reliable data transmission.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in optical network design and engineering. • Expertise in DWDM , OTN, SONET/SDH, and other optical transport technologies. • Proficiency with optical test equipment and network simulation tools. • Strong understanding of fiber optic principles, cable management, and optical safety. • Excellent remote collaboration skills and the ability to work autonomously.
