Remote Pharmacist - Clinical Services

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Pharmacist to join their expanding clinical services team, serving patients across Gauteng and beyond. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your pharmaceutical expertise to provide essential clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, patient counseling, and drug information support. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and looking for the flexibility of a remote work arrangement while making a substantial impact on health outcomes from their home office, ideally located near Soweto .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews (CMRs) and develop personalized medication action plans.
• Provide patient counseling on medication adherence, potential side effects, and disease management.
• Respond to drug information queries from healthcare professionals and patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize drug therapy regimens.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Document all clinical interventions and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record system.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent.
• Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in South Africa .
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in a community or outpatient setting.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and pharmacy software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity in a remote work environment.
