Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Power Systems Engineer specializing in energy storage solutions . This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while joining a forward-thinking team focused on developing and deploying innovative energy systems. You will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of advanced battery storage systems and microgrids, playing a key role in advancing sustainable energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer scalable energy storage systems (ESS), including battery management systems (BMS) and power conversion systems (PCS).
  • Develop technical specifications, schematics, and control strategies for microgrids and hybrid power solutions.
  • Perform system-level analysis, including power flow, stability, and grid interconnection studies.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to integrate and test new power system components.
  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for deployed ESS installations worldwide.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in energy storage and grid modernization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on energy storage or renewable energy integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of battery technologies (e.g., Li-ion), BMS, PCS, and microgrid architectures.
  • Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Experience with control system design and implementation for power electronics.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
