About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Process Engineer to join their distributed team, working primarily from home with potential occasional travel. You will collaborate virtually with on-site teams to drive efficiency, safety, and quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze process data and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
• Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus) to model and test process modifications.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting assistance to plant operations teams.
• Develop and document process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with site engineers, operators, and management through virtual channels.
• Participate in remote process safety reviews and risk assessments.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably with experience in remote support or distributed teams.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of chemical unit operations and process control.
• Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines in a virtual environment.
