About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a proactive and innovative Process Improvement Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role will focus on analyzing and enhancing various processes across their mining operations, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety standards. You will utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement change management strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and document key operational processes within the mining value chain
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma
- Conduct root cause analysis for process inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on process improvement techniques for operational teams
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and measure improvement success
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of process changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or a similar role
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and experience with process mapping and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills
