About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Process Simulation Engineer to contribute to their global engineering initiatives. This position focuses on developing, validating, and utilizing advanced process simulation models to optimize existing operations and design new chemical processes. You will work collaboratively with engineering teams across various locations, providing crucial insights derived from rigorous simulation analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with deep expertise in simulation software and a passion for leveraging computational tools to solve complex chemical engineering problems from a remote location.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and validate dynamic and steady-state process simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, UniSim).
- Utilize simulation models to perform process optimization studies, debottlenecking, and feasibility assessments.
- Analyze simulation results, interpret key performance indicators, and provide actionable recommendations to engineering and operations teams.
- Collaborate virtually with project engineers, R&D scientists, and plant personnel to define simulation scope and objectives.
- Develop training materials and provide technical support to users of simulation tools within the organization.
- Stay current with advancements in process simulation technology and methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process simulation and modeling within the chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Expert proficiency with one or more leading process simulation packages.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport phenomena.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote work environment.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical interpretation of simulation outputs.
