Remote Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and self-motivated Remote Procurement Analyst to join their virtual procurement department, supporting operations remotely, with a focus on the Benoni region's supply needs. This role is essential for analyzing spending patterns, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing data-driven insights to optimize procurement strategies. You will work closely with internal departments and external suppliers, leveraging your analytical skills to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze organizational spending data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Support the negotiation process by providing market intelligence and cost analysis.
• Assist in developing sourcing strategies and evaluating supplier performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure procurement alignment with business objectives.
• Research market conditions and supplier capabilities to inform procurement decisions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar data-focused procurement role.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, or BI platforms.
• Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain dynamics.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills for conveying complex data simply.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
