About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Remote Procurement Analyst to join their team and support strategic sourcing efforts. This role involves analyzing spending patterns, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing insights to optimize the procurement process. You will work closely with various departments to gather data, prepare reports, and support negotiation strategies, all from a remote work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a meticulous approach to data analysis, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations, contributing significantly to the financial health of the organization regardless of location.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on key procurement metrics, supplier performance, and spend analysis.
- Support sourcing teams by providing data-driven insights for supplier negotiations and category strategies.
- Conduct market intelligence research to inform procurement decisions and identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment on reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement analysis, financial analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement platforms is a plus.
