Remote Production Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Production Process Engineer to join their innovative team, supporting operations primarily based in Cape Town . This position is fully remote, focusing on the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes from anywhere. You will leverage advanced engineering principles and data analysis to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role is ideal for an independent, detail-oriented engineer who excels in a virtual collaborative environment and can drive significant improvements in manufacturing operations without the need for on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

• Design and implement new production processes and technologies, utilizing simulation and modeling tools.

• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless process integration.

• Monitor process performance remotely using data analytics and implement necessary adjustments.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting.

• Proven ability to analyze complex data, interpret results, and make data-driven recommendations.

• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, AnyLogic) and statistical analysis tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
