Remote Project Manager - Mining Technology

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Project Manager to oversee the implementation of innovative technology solutions within their mining operations, supporting teams across various locations including East London . This fully remote role requires a leader adept at managing complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful deployment of new technologies that enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability. You will be responsible for project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external technology providers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of mining technology projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate activities of project teams, including engineers, IT specialists, and operational personnel.
• Manage project risks, issues, and stakeholder communications effectively.
• Ensure adherence to project methodologies, quality standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager , managing complex technology implementation projects, preferably in the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a strong asset.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is essential.
