Remote R&D Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an innovative Remote R&D Chemical Engineer to join their forward-thinking research and development department. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking chemical advancements from anywhere. You will be involved in the early-stage development of new chemical products and processes, focusing on feasibility studies, laboratory experimentation, and initial scale-up considerations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments to explore new chemical reactions, formulations, and process concepts.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate the performance and viability of new products or processes.
• Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Develop initial process flow diagrams and mass/energy balances for promising concepts.
• Collaborate closely with a remote team of chemists, engineers, and material scientists.
• Prepare detailed research reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical research and development or process innovation.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of chemical principles, reaction engineering, and separations.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques relevant to chemical research.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills; ability to work autonomously.
• Proven track record of scientific inquiry and innovative problem-solving.
