About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Remote Real Estate Portfolio Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties from a remote location, serving clients primarily in the Mossel Bay area. This role requires meticulous management of property assets, ensuring optimal performance, tenant satisfaction, and maximized returns on investment. You will be responsible for all aspects of property operations, from leasing and maintenance to financial reporting and strategic planning, all conducted through effective virtual communication and management tools. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-driven professional with extensive experience in property management, adept at managing remote teams and maintaining strong client relationships from afar in the vibrant Western Cape market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the assigned real estate portfolio, including leasing, tenant relations, and property maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance and increase property value.
• Conduct regular property inspections (virtually or through local representatives) and address any issues promptly.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and rent collection processes for each property.
• Source and manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure property upkeep and repairs.
• Maintain strong communication channels with property owners, tenants, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Real Estate Portfolio Management or Property Management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing diverse real estate assets.
• Strong understanding of property law, lease agreements, and landlord-tenant regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, particularly in a remote context.
• Proficiency with property management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Knowledge of the Mossel Bay property market is highly advantageous.
