Remote Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of diverse solar and wind energy projects across South Africa . Working entirely from a remote location, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills, capable of driving complex initiatives in a virtual environment. You will be instrumental in advancing our client's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and expanding their portfolio of clean energy assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of renewable energy projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to construction and commissioning.

• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.

• Coordinate and lead virtual project team meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment among all stakeholders.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and local authorities to facilitate project execution.

• Track project progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to senior management and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind).

• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively in a complex environment.

• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Demonstrated experience working successfully in a remote or distributed team setting, utilizing project management software.
