Remote Research Scientist - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Remote Research Scientist to join their dynamic Drug Discovery team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to critical early-stage research aimed at developing novel therapeutics. You will play a key role in designing and executing experiments, analysing results, and contributing to the strategic direction of our drug development pipeline. Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct in vitro and ex vivo experiments to assess the efficacy and safety of potential drug candidates.

• Develop and validate new assay platforms relevant to target validation and compound screening.

• Analyse experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and interpret findings to guide project progression.

• Collaborate effectively with internal and external team members through virtual communication channels.

• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks and contribute to the preparation of research reports and manuscripts.

• Contribute to the strategic planning and prioritization of research activities within the drug discovery program.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline.

• 3+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in small molecule or biologic drug discovery.

• Demonstrated expertise in relevant experimental techniques (e.g., cell-based assays, biochemical assays, PK/PD studies).

• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in a remote setting.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong track record of scientific documentation.

• Experience with data analysis software and virtual collaboration tools is essential.
