Remote Retail Inventory Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a data-driven and analytical Remote Retail Inventory Analyst to join their dynamic team. This fully remote position will involve in-depth analysis of inventory data to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and improve product availability across the entire retail network. You will play a critical role in forecasting demand, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to enhance inventory efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in data analysis tools, possesses a keen understanding of retail inventory management principles, and excels at working independently to provide strategic insights from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels across all retail channels.
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve inventory turnover.
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators (KPIs), such as stock accuracy, fill rates, and carrying costs.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sales, and supply chain teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management and reporting.
• Create dashboards and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in inventory analysis, retail planning, or supply chain management.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or R.
• Excellent understanding of inventory management principles and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate findings effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience with inventory management software and forecasting tools is highly desirable.
