About the Role

This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from your home office, ideally within or connected to the Northern Cape province. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data related to sales, inventory, staffing, and customer service.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor trends in retail operations.
• Develop reports and dashboards to present findings and recommendations to management.
• Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in areas like inventory management, store performance, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with various departments, including operations, sales, and finance, to gather data and understand business needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements.
• Conduct research on industry best practices and competitor analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all analytical processes.
• Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Support ad-hoc analytical requests from the management team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a data analysis or operations analyst role, preferably within the retail sector.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Solid understanding of retail operations, metrics, and challenges.
• Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.
• Experience with retail analytics software is a plus.
