About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Sanitation Compliance Officer to join their expanding operations, working from home. This vital role involves ensuring that all company policies and external regulations regarding sanitation and hygiene are met across all operational sites, without direct physical presence. You will leverage technology and strong communication skills to audit, report, and guide on best practices. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of sanitation standards, who can effectively manage compliance remotely and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote audits of sanitation procedures and compliance documentation from various locations.
• Develop and deliver remote training modules on hygiene standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement in sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with site managers and operations teams virtually to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving sanitation laws and industry best practices, advising stakeholders accordingly.
• Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sanitation management or compliance, with a focus on regulatory adherence.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting .
• Proficiency in using digital tools for auditing, reporting, and virtual communication (e.g., MS Office Suite, video conferencing, compliance software).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in South Africa and relevant international standards.
