About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of integrated wellness services delivered via a remote platform, is actively seeking a Remote Senior Acupuncturist & Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner. This vital role focuses on delivering expert TCM consultations and acupuncture treatment recommendations through virtual channels, guiding patients towards balance and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of TCM theory, diagnostic methods, and acupuncture techniques, coupled with the ability to effectively assess and create treatment plans for patients remotely. Key Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive virtual consultations using video conferencing to assess patients' health status based on TCM principles (e.g., tongue and pulse diagnosis interpretation, symptom analysis).
• Developing personalized Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment plans, including acupuncture point prescriptions, herbal recommendations (where applicable and within scope), and lifestyle advice.
• Educating patients on TCM theory, the benefits of acupuncture, and how to manage their health through diet, exercise, and stress reduction techniques.
• Providing guidance on self-acupressure techniques and other home-care strategies patients can implement.
• Maintaining accurate, confidential, and detailed patient records within the company's secure electronic health system.
• Staying current with advancements in TCM, acupuncture research, and best practices for remote patient care.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the virtual wellness team to ensure integrated patient care.
• Ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout the virtual treatment process.
• Contributing to the development and refinement of remote TCM service protocols.
• Promoting the benefits of TCM and acupuncture within the virtual patient community.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
• Current licensure or registration to practice acupuncture and TCM in a recognized jurisdiction.
• A minimum of 6 years of clinical experience as an Acupuncturist and TCM Practitioner.
• In-depth knowledge of TCM theory, meridians, acupoints, herbal medicine principles, and diagnostic techniques.
• Proven ability to effectively diagnose and develop treatment plans through remote consultations.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy skills, crucial for virtual patient interaction.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a remote caseload independently.
