Remote Senior BIM Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior BIM Specialist to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will focus on developing and implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies and standards across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will be instrumental in enhancing design coordination, improving project efficiency, and driving the adoption of advanced digital workflows. Working from anywhere in South Africa , you will collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of BIM technology, contributing significantly to the firm's innovation and delivery excellence in architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and best practices for the organization.
• Lead the creation and management of complex BIM models for architectural projects, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and workflows, fostering a collaborative digital environment.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution, coordinating with various disciplines to ensure design consistency.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in BIM and digital construction, recommending advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in BIM implementation and management, with a strong focus on architecture.
• Expert proficiency in Revit , Navisworks, and other relevant BIM software suites.
• Experience in developing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and managing model federations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment across different time zones.
