This is a critical role focused on optimizing and scaling our catering partner network and service delivery across various regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering operations, supply chain management, and partner relationship management, coupled with a proven ability to leverage technology for efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service quality, seamless logistical coordination, and exceptional client satisfaction from a remote-first perspective.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative operational strategies to enhance the efficiency and scalability of our catering services nationwide.
• Manage and nurture relationships with a diverse network of catering partners, ensuring adherence to quality standards and service level agreements.
• Oversee the end-to-end logistics of catering orders, from placement and fulfillment to delivery and client feedback, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, implementing data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technology, to ensure cohesive service delivery and client experience.
• Develop and refine operational playbooks, training materials, and best practices for onboarding and supporting catering partners.
• Monitor partner performance, providing regular feedback and support to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to continuously innovate and improve operational processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in catering operations, logistics management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large networks of external partners or suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data and implement actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders remotely.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive operational improvements.
• Proficiency in using CRM, project management, and data analysis tools.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of thriving in an independent, remote work environment.
• Experience in the food technology or online platform industry is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the Cape Town, Western Cape food and catering scene is an advantage.
