About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering to join their fully remote team, supporting projects across South Africa. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, including site characterization, soil/rock mechanics analysis, and foundation design.
• Develop and implement ground improvement strategies and slope stability assessments for complex projects.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including recommendations for earthworks, foundations, and retaining structures.
• Utilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and analysis (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio).
• Provide expert technical advice and support to project teams and clients remotely.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and apply them to project challenges.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical site investigations, analysis, and design.
• Proven expertise in geotechnical software for slope stability, settlement, and foundation analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of South African geological conditions and relevant geotechnical codes and standards.
• Exceptional report writing and remote communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
