About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Remote Senior Civil Engineer specializing in Infrastructure to join their virtual team, supporting projects across various locations including Stellenbosch . This role requires an individual capable of independently managing complex infrastructure projects from conceptualization to completion, remotely. You will be responsible for leading design efforts, ensuring technical excellence, and collaborating effectively with clients and project teams through digital channels. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of large-scale civil infrastructure projects, including water, wastewater, and transportation systems.

• Oversee feasibility studies, site analysis, and conceptual design development for new projects.

• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project reports.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively in a remote setting.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and environmental regulations.

• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to remote project teams and junior engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on project leadership.

• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.

• Demonstrated experience managing projects remotely using collaboration tools and software.

• Proficiency in industry-standard civil engineering design and analysis software.

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
