About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Remote Senior Civil Project Manager to lead and deliver complex civil engineering projects nationwide. This fully remote position offers the unique opportunity to manage diverse projects from the comfort of your home office, collaborating with distributed teams and clients across South Africa. You will be responsible for the overall success of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills to navigate the complexities of remote project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initiation to closure, in a remote setting.

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.

• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication channels are maintained.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.

• Manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations effectively through virtual interactions.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects remotely.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract management, and financial oversight.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

• Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools essential for remote work.
