About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Remote Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to drive the design and implementation of their cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, supporting teams globally, with key operational oversight near Nelspruit. This strategic role will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the deployment of scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions across multiple platforms. You will work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to define architectural strategies and ensure best practices are followed. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop architectural roadmaps, technical strategies, and best practices for cloud adoption and migration.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and services.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud technologies, services, and emerging trends.
• Conduct architectural reviews, performance analysis, and cost optimization of cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and disaster recovery planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Proven experience with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, especially in a remote setting.
