About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join their fully remote team, based anywhere in South Africa. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures across the organization.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely updates to policies and training materials.
• Investigate compliance issues, conduct internal audits, and manage corrective action plans.
• Design and deliver compliance training programs to employees at all levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a compliance or regulatory role within the financial services industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant South African financial regulations (e.g., FAIS, FICA, POPIA).
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, suitable for a remote work environment.
