In this role, you will leverage vast datasets to uncover insights into energy consumption patterns , demand forecasting, and operational efficiency across various markets. You will be instrumental in developing advanced analytical models that drive strategic decision-making and optimize energy distribution and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze large, complex datasets related to energy generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms for demand forecasting and anomaly detection.
• Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction based on data analysis.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business units to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of best practices in data analytics.
Requirements
• Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in the energy industry .
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big data platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and time series analysis .
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for explaining complex findings to non-technical audiences.
